Everything here is general information to help you think clearly about a problem. It is not legal advice, it is not a substitute for it, and we are not your lawyers until we have agreed terms in writing.

Our regulatory position
Brandleys provides unreserved legal, strategic and investigative services. We are not a regulated firm of solicitors and we are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Where a matter requires reserved legal activities, or regulated immigration advice, that work is delivered with appropriately regulated partners. We will always be clear with you about who is doing what, and on what basis, before any work begins.
This site is information, not advice
Our guides describe how certain problems generally work. They are deliberately general. They do not take account of your facts, your documents, your jurisdiction or your deadlines, and the law changes.
Nothing on this site creates a lawyer-client relationship. Sending us an enquiry does not create one either. Advice begins only when we have agreed terms of engagement with you in writing.
About the tools
The tools on this site are structured prompts, not assessments of your position. They work from a handful of answers and cannot see your contracts, your registrations or your circumstances. Their outputs are indicative and should not be relied on for any decision.
Two of them produce figures. The IP valuation estimator gives an illustrative range based on broad factors; it is not a valuation and must not be used for a transaction, a dispute or any filing. The cost and timeline estimator gives an indicative band based on typical matters; it is not a quote. We confirm fees in writing before starting work, and we will tell you if we think a matter is not worth pursuing.
Urgent matters
Several subjects covered here are time-critical, including fraud, asset recovery and applications with deadlines. Reading a guide is not taking action. If something is moving, get proper advice quickly rather than relying on this site.
Our content
The text, design, tools and branding on this site belong to us. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own or your organisation's use, and to quote us with attribution. Please do not republish our guides as your own, or copy the tools.
Liability
We take care over what we publish, but we do not warrant that everything here is complete, current or applicable to you. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on this site or its tools. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Where we link to other sites, we do so because we think they are useful. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
